Sort through your Digital Pollution - information and tips
The School of Law Green Impact Team is making this semester’s goal to educate the student population on digital pollution. We also hope to spend the next few weeks giving you some tips on reducing your carbon footprint!
What is digital pollution?
According to the EcoMatcher website, digital pollution is an umbrella term for everything digital which impacts the globe. The causes of digital pollution include electronic waste, excess data storage, consumption of digital platforms (streaming or engaging with content), and the carbon footprint of the digital industry.
Some tips and tricks to reduce your impact!
- Receiving emails and newsletters you don’t want? Unsubscribe from them!
- Click in your browser history to access a site directly.
- Know the URL to the website? Type it in instead of searching for it.
- Download and watch videos instead of streaming them.
