You are being invited to take part in a research project.
The project aims to find out more about the experience of students’ studying law (or other degrees offered within a law school) at the University of Sheffield School of Law and Sheffield Hallam University’s School of Law.
The aims of the project are to explore the research question ‘how does the student experience during a student’s time in, and immediately after, undergraduate legal education impact upon their wellbeing, identity and employability?’ The term ‘identity’ refers to how you perceive yourself; the term ‘employability’ refers to your future career/working life.
The focus will be on the following issues:
- What (if any) impacts do a student's prior educational, work and personal experiences, and career aspirations and expectations, have upon their experience of law school?
- Which aspects of the law school experience impact upon a student's psychological and emotional wellbeing, and to what extent?
- Which aspects of the law school experience impact upon a student's personal and professional identity, and to what extent?
- Which aspects of the law school experience impact upon a student's employability, and to what extent?
- How do the impacts and aspects identified above affect a student's immediate post-law school experience?
