LawCareers.Net and A&O Shearman masterclass: AI in practice – how A&O Shearman is shaping the future of law This dynamic 45-minute session will introduce students to the transformative role generative AI plays in the legal profession. Participants will gain insight into how A&O Shearman is leading the charge with tools like Harvey and explore real-world examples of AI in action. LawCareers.Net masterclass: understanding legal practice – financial services This LawCareers.Net masterclass, sponsored by Osborne Clarke LLP and more firms to be confirmed, will discuss what it’s really like to be a lawyer working in financial services. Students will hear from our panel of expert lawyers on what it actually means to work in financial services, from the laws and regulations that govern investment banks and hedge funds, to major M&A deals and private equity co-investments. LawCareersNetLIVE | November and December Applications are now open for LawCareersNetLIVE – a must-attend event for aspiring lawyers that unpacks the skills, attributes and techniques that are necessary to launch a career at a commercial law firm. The conference features panel discussions on key topics, workshops presented by our sponsor firms and networking sessions offering the opportunity to speak to partners, trainees and graduate recruiters from our firm sponsors and overall sponsor, The University of Law. The event runs in Manchester, London and virtually. Applications close on 30 October 2025.  We encourage students to apply as soon as possible because offers will be made on a rolling basis.
