Qualifying as an Attorney: Why Should You Consider the US Bar? – 7 October 17:00-18:30
Join us for this exciting virtual event as we discuss the benefits and career prospects of studying the US Bar, which the University of Law offers.
Join the head of our US Bar preparation course to learn about the routes to get there, and the eligibility for the New York and California Bar, as well as an overview of the topics and key information of our US Bar course.
There will also be a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about qualifying as an attorney.
Real World Lecture: Can We Make Our Memories More Powerful? – 15 October 16:00-17:00
What is memory? Does it matter if we forget? Can we strengthen our memory? Memory is being able to recognise people, places - it is essential for all our waking moments, but it is malleable, fallible and open to suggestion.
In this lecture, our Psychology Lecturer, explains how our memories work, discusses the ‘Seven Sins of memory’ (Schachter 2001), and explores creative ways to investigate and strengthen our memories, like through the power of music and smell.
Real World Lectures are aimed at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students interested in studying Psychology.
