Last chance to apply: Practice Recruitment Experience 🧑‍💼

Wednesday 5 November 2025 @ Bramall Lane Football Stadium

Get first-hand experience of the recruitment process by taking part in practice interviews, group work, and presentation tasks in a safe and supportive environment.

You will also have the option to have your professional LinkedIn headshot taken on the day and speak with an Employability Adviser. After the event, you will receive a personalised feedback report to help you improve your future performance.

Employer Panel and Q&A: Neurodivergence and Disability Inclusion in Graduate Recruitment

3 November, 1-2:15 pm, online

Open to all students and graduates (pre-diagnosis, diagnosed, or self-diagnosed)

In this live event, employers across a variety of sectors will explain how they support neurodivergent or disabled* applicants. Find out about reasonable adjustments to the recruitment process, and how employers support these candidates as they join the workforce.

*The University supports the social model of disability, which acknowledges that impairments may not be disabling in themselves, but can become so in certain contexts.

The Money Charity: My Money After Uni 💰

12 November, 1–2 pm (online)

Want to feel more confident about managing your money after university?

My Money After Uni is an interactive workshop to help you understand your finances and prepare for financial independence after graduation.

You’ll learn about:

  • Your income after university such as student loan repayments, work, taxes, and payslips

  • Banking charges after graduation

  • Investing and growing your money

  • How to budget for your postgraduate life

  • Spending tips for graduates

This workshop is especially useful for final year undergraduates and postgraduates, but all students are welcome.

Northern City Connections - Trip to Manchester!

2nd and final year students that meet at least one Equal Opportunities in Careers criteria can apply to attend Northern City Connections.

It’s a fantastic chance to see what Manchester has to offer and gain insight from those who were once in your shoes - including their top tips for job applications and interviews. See the City Connections website for further details of the business visits and a video of last year’s London trip.
