Are you an International student thinking of working in the UK after your studies? Did you know the University offers post-study work visa advice?
The University’s International Student Support, Advice and Compliance (ISSAC) team provides information and advice on a range of post-study work visas, including the Graduate Route, Skilled Worker and Global Talent Visa.

Ambition Internship Programme - register your interest!
The Ambition Internship Programme will launch soon! The programme allows eligible students who meet at least one of the Equal Opportunities in Careers criteria to undertake a paid internship with SMEs and charities in Sheffield and the surrounding area.
SME stands for small and medium-sized enterprises - that's 99% of businesses in the UK! This describes businesses with fewer than 250 employees and an annual turnover of less than £50 million. Internships are paid at a minimum of £12.71 per hour, and each has a minimum duration of 70 hours. You’ll gain:

The opportunity to use your skills and knowledge to benefit a local organisation
An insight into working for an SME or charity

If you are worried about being able to afford formal clothing and have an upcoming job interview, assessment centre, or new job starting soon, you can now get a free referral to The Suit Works, a Sheffield non-profit organisation that offers free outfits from their huge range of pre-loved formal wear, with clothes for all shapes, sizes, and styles.
All you need to do is drop into the Employability & Placements Hub in the Students' Union, where our staff will help you with your referral.
